The 7th annual Raise the Woof comedy night fundraiser is just around the corner and tickets are on sale.
The Pembina Valley Humane Society’s night of laughs will take place on Friday, September 21 at the Quality in Winkler.
This year the humane society is inviting guests to come early for cocktail hour at 6 pm. Included with admission will be pre-show appetizers of jalapeno poppers, cheese quesadillas and perogies.
Three professional comedians from Raise the Woof will perform. This year’s comedians include James Uloth, Leonard Chan and Ryan Caper. You can check them out at www.woofraise.com.
The Lucky Card Draw grand prize this year is one round-trip flight for two guests, to any regularly scheduled WestJet destination.
They also have the ever popular Mystery Bag Raffle with awesome prizes including a Thermea Spa experience for two, fitness packages, wine prize and more! There will also be a 50/50 draw and door prize!
Tickets
Tickets are available at a cost of $40 each at Quality Inn and at the shelter. People and businesses can also take advantage of the group rate of $290 for a table of eight by emailing pvhs.events@hotmail.com or by calling 204.822.9413.
“This event has sold out for the last couple years so we encourage people to get their tickets prior to the event to avoid disappointment at the door,” they said in a press release.
The Pembina Valley Humane Society is a registered charity and non-profit organization. Their mission is to support humane and sustainable communities for all animals through education, advocacy, respect and responsibility. They are funded primarily by donations, and rely on volunteers for everything from daily chores to helping at events.
